The settlement of Ousdale is located 4 miles (6.5 km) southwest of Berriedale in Highland Council Area and sits on the Ousdale Burn. The Ousdale Broch is located at the mouth of the burn, it stands 6 feet in height and was so positioned for its defensive purposes. The Broch is believed to date back to 100 BC.
