Corgarff

A small hamlet in the Grampian Mountains of Aberdeenshire, Corgarff lies close to the upper reaches of the River Don on a road that links the Dee valley with Strathspey. The 16th Century Corgarff Castle, which is located 1½ miles (2 km) to the west, was used as a military barracks in the 18th Century. The Corgarff Primary School closed in 1998.
