A location with a hotel at the west end of Rannoch Moor, Kingshouse lies adjacent to the A82 trunk road at the entrance to Glen Coe. The Glen Coe Ski Centre lies 1¼ miles (2 km) to the south and Kingshouse is also the site of a mountain rescue post. An old military road passes through this location.
