A location on the Duke of Buccleuch's Drumlanrig Estate, Dabton lies a half-mile (0.8 km) southeast of Carronbridge and 1¼ miles (2 km) north of Thornhill in Dumfries and Galloway. Dabton comprises the former estate offices adjacent to a villa of 1820, which is home to the Earl of Dalkeith, and the small Dabton Loch to the southeast.
