A scattered township which represents the only significant settlement on the island of Papa Stour in Shetland, Biggings (locally, Da Biggins) is located in the southeast of the island, between Hamna Voe in the west and Housa Voe in the east. The island's church is located here. Excavations near the church during the 1970s and 1980s uncovered the foundations of a Mediaeval Norse house, built of wood but of some considerable status. This is thought to have been the royal farm of Duke Haakon, later King Haakon V of Norway.
