Tushielaw Inn

A settlement on the left bank of the Ettrick Water in the Scottish Borders, Tushielaw lies 12 miles (19 km) southwest of Selkirk. The Tushielaw Inn was established as a coaching inn around 1750, although the present building dates from the 1830s. The ruins of the 16th-century Tushielaw Tower, property of the Scott family, lie a mile (1.5 km) to the southwest. A hill of the same name rises to 435m (1427 feet) behind the tower.
