River Tirry

A river of the Sutherland District of Highland Council Area, the River Tirry rises as headstreams 6 miles (10 km) south of Altnaharra. It flows west for 2½ miles (4 km) passing Crask Inn before turning south southeast and following Strath Tirry to fall into Loch Shin a quarter-mile (0.5 km) south of Tirryside, having completed a course of 12 miles (19 km). It receives three significant tributaries; namely the Allt Loch an Ulbhaidh from the west, and Abhainn Sgeamhaidh and Feith Osdail from the east.
