Menzieshill

A western suburb of Dundee, Menzieshill began as an isolated farm on the ridge extending west from Balgay Hill 2½ miles (4 km) west northwest of the city centre. Dominated by public housing, including five fifteen-storey tower blocks, the district was developed 1960-65 to provide new homes for people cleared from the city centre. The sizeable Menzieshill High School was established in 1968, with St Ninian's RC Primary School located to the west and Hillside Primary to the east.
