Garnethill Pyramid, Glasgow (1990)

A district of Glasgow City, Garnethill sits at the northwestern edge of the city centre and lies over a drumlin. It is located to the north and parallel to Sauchiehall Street. Part of the Blythswood Estate, its street pattern follows that of the Blythswood area to the south. Although predominantly residential, the area is home to the Glasgow School of Art (1909), designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, and the McLellan Galleries. Housing mostly comprises traditional tenements. Owned by the National Trust for Scotland, an original 1920s Tenement House with original features is open to the public.
