Cairn Pat

A hill at the centre of the Rhins of Galloway, Cairn Pat rises to 182m (597 feet) 1¼ miles (2 km) west of Lochans and 3 miles (5 km) east northeast of Portpatrick. Its summit is marked by an Ordnance Survey primary triangulation pillar installed in 1936. It is also the site of an ancient hill fort and a radio transmitter.
