Pole Hill

One of the Braes of the Carse in Perth and Kinross, Pole Hill rises to 288m (944 feet) 1½ miles (2.5 km) west of Kilspindie and provides fine views across the Carse of Gowrie and beyond. There is a hill-fort on a prominent but subsidiary summit to the southeast, which reaches 271m (889 feet). The fort is oval in shape, measuring c.76m (250 feet) by 61m (200 feet). It has strong defences comprising several ramparts and ditches to the north, but the defences to the south are now entirely absent.
