Daugh of Corinacy

An upland tract in E Moray, the Daugh of Corinacy lies to the west of the Clashindarroch Forest, 7 miles (11 km) southeast of Dufftown. The unusual word daugh comes from the term davoch which is an old Scots areal unit of land. It appears exclusively in place-names lying in a small area centred on the Aberdeenshire-Moray border.
