Lochmill Loch

A small reservoir within the Ochill Hills of NW Fife, Lochmill Loch is located close to the border with Perth and Kinross, 1½ miles (2.5 km) southwest of Newburgh and 3 miles (3 km) east of Abernethy. Impounded by an earth embankment dam, it extends to an area of 15.5 ha (38 acres). Owned and operated by Scottish Water, the loch supplies Newburgh with water and also supports a popular trout fishery, which has been run by Newburgh Angling Club since 1943.
