Court Hill

A small turf-covered mote located to the north of Gateside, a half-mile (1 km) east of Beith in North Ayrshire. Its shape is conical, with an oval base, around 15m (50 feet) in diameter and 3m (10 feet) in height, with a flat top. Local tradition suggests that the Abbot of Kilwinning dispensed justice from here.
