Loch Laggan

A loch to the east of Glen Spean in the Badenoch district of Highland Council Area, Loch Laggan extends 7 miles (12 km) southwest from Kinloch Laggan. SInce 1936, Loch Laggan has served as a reservoir forming part of the Lochaber hydro-electric power scheme which powers the aluminium smelter at Fort William. The Laggan Dam was built at the western end of Loch Moy, also known as the Laggan Reservoir and sometimes considered as an extension of Loch Laggan.
