A summit in SW Moray, Carn Ruabraich rises to 616m (2020 feet) 2¾ miles (4.5 km) east of Geal Charn and 4 miles (6.5 km) south southwest of Tomintoul. Its western slopes have been modified by landslip, descending steeply to the Water of Ailnack. The similarly named Carn na Ruabraich lies 1¼ miles (2 km) to the south southwest.
