Burnt Hill

One of a set of confusingly-named summits in North Ayrshire, Burnt Hill rises to 486m (1594 feet) 4 miles (6.5 km) northeast of Largs close to the border with Renfrewshire. Its summit is marked by an Ordnance Survey triangulation pillar. The confusion comes because another summit named South Burnt Hill lies a mile (1.4 km) to the north, with North Burnt Hill a further half-mile (1 km) beyond. Also there is another Burnt Hill 4½ miles (7 km) to the southeast.
