Tarbert Hill

A teardrop-shaped hill situated to the southeast of West Kilbride in North Ayrshire, Tarbert Hill rises to 138m (452 feet) a half-mile (1 km) south southeast of the town centre. This hill comprises a crag-and-tail, with hard igneous rock to the northwest protecting softer sandstone beneath from past glacial erosion. The Ayrshire Coast Line cuts across its lower slopes.
