A small watercourse in the N of Islay in the Inner Hebrides, the Gortantaoid River rises to the northeast of Beinn Bhreac and then flows 2½ miles (4 km) west northwest to fall into Loch Gruinart a quarter-mile (0.4 km) south of Gortantaoid Point. The farm of Gortantaoid lies on its right bank. A 2012 survey confirmed the river is home to a population of brown trout.
