Inner Hebrides The name given to the inner islands off the west coast of Scotland, divided between Highland and Argyll & Bute Council Areas. The chief islands are Skye, Mull, Islay, Jura, Raasay, Canna, Rum, Eigg, Muck, Coll, Tiree, Iona, Colonsay, and Gigha.
