Knockquhassen Reservoir

A small reservoir on the Rhins of Galloway, Knockquhassen Reservoir is located 2 miles (3 km) west southwest of Stranraer and 3¾ miles (6 km) northeast of Portpatrick in Dumfries and Galloway. Impounded by an earth embankment dam, it contains a small island. The reservoir is operated by Scottish Water for the supply of drinking-water and covers an area of 15.3 ha (37 acres).
