Loch Aline

Located in the Lochaber district of Highland Council Area, Loch Aline is a sea loch that extends inland from the Sound of Mull. The settlement of Lochaline lies at the mouth of the loch while at its head sits Kinlochaline Castle. The River Aline enters the loch near the castle from Loch Arienas, as does the River Rannoch, which joins it from Loch Tearnait in the east. There is a ferry link from Lochaline at the mouth of the loch to Fishnish on the island of Mull.
