Lecht Road

The Lecht Road is the name given to the stretch of the A939 that runs from Cock Bridge in Aberdeenshire to Tomintoul in Moray. Passing over the Ladder Hills, it lies between the peaks of Carn Liath and Beinn a' Chruinnich and reaches a high point at 640m (2090 feet). This road is usually the first road in Scotland to be blocked by snow in winter.
