Located off the northern coastline of the Caithness district of Highland Council, the Men of Mey are a group of outlying rocks located 2 miles (3 km) northeast of Mey Bay, the settlement of Mey and directly offshore of the headland of St John's Point. The Merry Men of Mey is a dangerous tidal race which forms off the Men of Mey.
