Glenlatterach Reservoir

The Glenlatterach Reservoir lies 6 miles (10 km) south of Elgin and a mile (1.5 km) west of Glenlatterach. It opened in 1957, is now operated by Scottish Water for the supply of drinking-water and covers an area of 40.7 ha (100 acres). The Leanoch Burn, which rises in the foothills of nearby Pikey Hill, passes through the reservoir before joining the River Lossie.
