Gelly Burn

A tributary of the Dighty Water in N Dundee, the Gelly Burn rises as headstreams in the vicinity of Templeton Woods, 4 miles (6.5 km) northwest of the city centre, and flows east for 3 miles (5 km) to join the Dichty just to the northeast of Main Castle. It can be seen traversing Downfield Golf Course, but is hidden in culverts during its journey through the housing estates of Ardler and Downfield, reappearing after 2 miles (3 km) in Caird Park.
