Meall Buidhe

A Munro peak located 2 miles (3 km) north of the eastern end of Loch an Daimh in Perth and Kinross, Meall Buidhe marks the highest point (at 932m / 3058 feet) on a ridge lying between Glen Lyon and Loch Rannoch. The summit is found towards the northeastern end of that ridge and is marked by a cairn. Its name comes from the Gaelic for 'black hill'. There are other mountains named Meall Buidhe nearby; one lies 5½ miles (9 km) to the southwest, with another 7 miles (11 km) to the southeast.
