Baldoon Hill

A well-defined drumlin in The Machars of Dumfries and Galloway, Baldoon Hill rises to just beyond 35m (114 feet) a half-mile (1 km) south of Bladnoch and 1¼ miles (2 km) south southwest of Wigtown. This is one of a number of drumlins in this area and is aligned NNW-SSE indicating the direction of glacial flow. Wigtown Airfield lies to the east, while Baldoon Castle is situated a quarter-mile (0.5 km) to the northeast.
