Barwhanny Hill

A little hogback in The Machars of Galloway, Barwhanny Hill rises to 76m (249 feet) a half-mile (0.8 km) east of Whauphill and 1¼ miles (2 km) southwest of Kirkinner. This is one of a number of drumlins in this area deposited beneath an ancient ice sheet and aligned NNE-SSW indicating the direction of flow.
