A stream which rises on eastern slopes of Black Hill in the west of North Ayrshire, and flows north for a mile (1.5 km) before turning sharply west to descend through Southannan Glen and the village of Fairlie to join the Fairlie Burn. There are several waterfalls along its course, which extends to 1½ miles (2.5 km).
