Parish of Troqueer Troqueer is a coastal parish, which lies in Dumfries and Galloway Council Area, some 13 miles (21 km) southwest of Lockerbie and 13 miles (21 km) northeast of Castle Douglas in Dumfries and Galloway.It is located in the old county of Kirkcudbrightshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.The parish has an area of 47.3 sq. km (18.2 sq. miles).
