Parish of Urquhart and Logie Wester

Urquhart and Logie Wester is a coastal parish, which lies in Highland Council Area, some 3 miles (4 km) southeast of Dingwall and 7 miles (12 km) northeast of Beauly in Highland.

It is located in the old county of Ross and Cromarty, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 55.4 sq. km (21.3 sq. miles). Urquhart and Logie Wester has 6 neighbouring parishes; namely Avoch, Fodderty, Killearnan, Knockbain, Resolis and Urray. The boundaries of this parish were modified among significant changes recommended by the Boundary Commissioners after the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1889.
