Parish of Yarrow

Yarrow is a parish, which lies in the Scottish Borders Council Area, some 9 miles (15 km) south of Peebles and 16 miles (26 km) northwest of Hawick in the Scottish Borders.

It is located in the old county of Selkirkshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 200 sq. km (77.2 sq. miles). Yarrow has 10 neighbouring parishes; namely Caddonfoot, Drumelzier, Ettrick, Kirkhope, Manor, Moffat, Peebles, Selkirk, Traquair and Tweedsmuir. The boundaries of this parish were modified among significant changes recommended by the Boundary Commissioners after the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1889.
