Parish of Ancrum

Ancrum is a parish, which lies in the Scottish Borders Council Area, some 4 miles (7 km) northwest of Jedburgh and 6 miles (10 km) southeast of Melrose in the Scottish Borders.

It is located in the old county of Roxburghshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 41.9 sq. km (16.2 sq. miles). Ancrum has 10 neighbouring parishes; namely Bedrule, Bowden, Cavers, Crailing, Jedburgh, Lilliesleaf, Maxton, Minto, Roxburgh and St Boswells.
