Parish of Old Cumnock

Old Cumnock is a parish, which lies in East Ayrshire Council Area, some 10 miles (17 km) west of Kirkconnel in Dumfries and Galloway and 12 miles (20 km) southeast of Galston in East Ayrshire.

It is located in the old county of Ayrshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.

The parish has an area of 57.5 sq. km (22.2 sq. miles) and includes the settlement of Cumnock. Old Cumnock has Auchinleck, New Cumnock and Ochiltree as its neighbouring parishes.
