Parish of Kingarth Kingarth is a coastal parish, which lies in Argyll and Bute Council Area, some 4 miles (7 km) south of Rothesay and 13 miles (20 km) southwest of Dunoon in Argyll and Bute.It is located in the old county of Bute and Arran, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.The parish has an area of 37.1 sq. km (14.3 sq. miles).
