Eve Muirhead

1990 -

International curler. Born in Perth, the daughter of a curling champion, Muirhead grew up in Blair Atholl. She curled for the Dunkeld Curling Club in Pitlochry, until the closure of that rink in 2008. She was a member of the team which gained a gold medal in the World Junior Curling Championships in 2007, and led teams to similar success in the years 2008, 2009 and 2011. Her team gained silver medals at the European Championships of 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2015, with gold medals in 2011 and 2017. Further success came with a silver medal in the World Championships of 2010 and a gold medal three years later. She skipped the unsuccessful women's team in Vancouver Winter Olympics of 2010 but returned in 2014 to lead her team to a bronze medal in Sochi in 2014.

Muirhead trains in Stirling. Her brothers Glen Muirhead (b.1989) and Thomas Muirhead (b.1995) are both accomplished curlers.
