Rait

Perth and Kinross

The old and relatively unspoiled village of Rait lies tucked-away in the Braes of the Carse at the mouth of the Glen of Rait where it opens out into the Carse of Gowrie, Perth and Kinross. There are a number of reed-thatched cottages and the remains of a pre-Reformation church, abandoned when Rait united with Kilspindie around 1619. The steading of Rait Farm is now used by antique traders.
