A location in North Lanarkshire, Heathfield lies to a half-mile (0.8 km) southeast of Muirhead and a similar distance east of Garnkirk. Heathfield Moss lies to the west of the farm of Heathfield, while Heathfield Cottage lies to the south, next to the Glasgow-Coatbridge railway and the site of the former Heathfield Fireclay Works. Heathfield Park was adopted as the name for a new housing development (2007) a half-mile (1 km) to the southeast an extension of Gartcosh.
