An abandoned settlement on the east coast of the Oa peninsula in the S of island of Islay (Argyll and Bute), Lurabus is situated 1¼ miles (2 km) east of Coillabus and 2 miles (3 km) southwest of Port Ellen. Cleared in the 1860s as islanders emigrated to Canada, the footings of at least ten buildings can still be seen, together with cultivation ridges. Modern houses have been built to the north.
