A locality in mid-Aberdeenshire to the west of Dunecht and 8 miles (13 km) west of Aberdeen, Kinnernie comprises Kinnernie, West Kinnernie and Old Kinnernie which lies on the Kinnernie Burn. The former parish of Kinearny was divided in 1743 between the parishes of Midmar and Cluny.
