A settlement in Moray, Mulben lies on the Burn of Mulben, 4 miles (6.5 km) west of Keith. It developed following the arrival of the railway in 1858, its station eventually closing in 1964. The Glentauchers Distillery to the east was opened in 1898 and in 1974 the Auchroisk Distillery to the west came into production.
