A village to the east of Buckie in Moray, Rathven was the centre of the Parish of Rathven before the development of the coastal settlements of Findochty and Portknockie. In mediaeval times it was the centre of a leper colony. Rathven Church dates from 1794 and in its churchyard is the burial aisle of the Hays of Rannas (1612).
