A location and former estate in the Kyle district of South Ayrshire, Coilsfield lies on the right bank of the Water of Fail, a half-mile (1 km) west of Failford and 1¼ miles (2 km) southeast of Tarbolton. Coilsfield House (now demolished) was the seat of the Montgomeries of Coilsfield, who became the Earls of Eglinton. Coilsfield Mains farm remains.
