A small and isolated township of Wester Ross, in Highland Council Area, Carnach lies on the northern shore of Little Loch Broom, 2 miles (3 km) southeast of Cailleach Head. Located here is Scoraig School, uniquely integrating nursery, primary and two years of secondary provision for a roll of only twelve pupils (2008). The settlement is only accessible by boat across the loch, via a jetty at nearby Scoraig, or by a 3¾-mile (6-km) walk from Badrallach to the southeast.
