Pollyanna McIntosh


1979 -

Actress and model. Born in Alexandria (West Dunbartonshire), she was raised in Portugal and then Columbia, before returning to Edinburgh at the age of nine, where she was educated at Boroughmuir High School. She moved to London aged sixteen to work as a model, but soon returned to Scotland to take an uncredited role in the film The Acid House (1998), based on Irvine Welsh's book. She also acted on stage and at the Edinburgh Festival. She moved to Los Angeles in 2004 and has subsequently appeared in television series including the BBC Scotland comedy Bob Servant Independent (2013), Hap and Leonard (2016), The Walking Dead (2017), alongside James McAvoy (b. 1979) and Vikings: Valhalla (2022). Her films include Burke and Hare (2010) starring alongside Ronnie Corbett (1930 - 2016) and Robert Fyfe (1930 - 2021), The Woman (2011) and Filth (2013), the latter based on another Irvine Welsh novel.
