One of the Hills of Cromdale, Carn Eachie lies on the border between Highland and Moray Council Areas, rising to 700m (2296 feet) a half-mile (1 km) south southwest of Charn a' Ghille Chear and 6 miles (10 km) east northeast of Grantown on Spey. The northern boundary of the Cairngorms National Park bisects this summit.
