River Lyon

A river of Perth and Kinross, the River Lyon flows from Loch Lyon in an easterly direction, passing through the Stronuich Reservoir, before heading north and then east again, through Glen Lyon to join the River Tay immediately north of the settlement of Stix. Along its route it passes through the settlements of Moar and Bridge of Balgie and passes the Fortingall Yew, which is believed to be the oldest tree in Europe at over 3000 years in age.
