Drumochter Hills A group of summits on the southwestern edge of the Cairngorms National Park, the Drumochter Hills lies on either side the Pass of Drumochter, on the border between Highland and Perth & Kinross Council Areas, 5 miles (8 km) south of Dalwhinnie. These heather and grass-covered summits include seven Munros and a Corbett; the Sow of Atholl (803m / 2634 feet). Four of the Munros lie to the west of the Pass of Drumochter and the A9 Trunk Road; namely Beinn Udlamain (1010m / 3317 feet), Sgairneach Mhor (991m / 3250 feet), A' Mharconaich (975m / 3199 feet) and Gael Charn (917m / 3008 feet). To the east lie Carn na Caim (941m / 3087 feet) and A' Bhuidheanach Bheag (936m / 3070 feet), with Meall Chuaich (951m / 3120 feet) located further to the northeast, with fine views over the Cairngorm Mountains.The Drumochter Hills are home to dotterel, grouse, ptarmigan and mountain hare.
