Parish of Glenshiel Glenshiel is a coastal parish, which lies in Highland Council Area, some 17 miles (28 km) southeast of Kyle of Lochalsh and 23 miles (37 km) west of Fort Augustus in Highland.It is located in the old county of Ross and Cromarty, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.The parish has an area of 235.8 sq. km (91 sq. miles).
